When You Like An Artist, But Not Their Work

Life throws what our American cousins call a curveball, from time to time.

Case in point, Josh Homme, of Queens of the Stone Age and a bunch of Trey-wet-dream collaborations. For the first thing, QOTSA is that rare bird of being a fricken ace name for a rock band (sounds sooo heavy and primordial*) AND a fab initialism.

But we don't really like what we've heard from him. Nice sonic textures, but no songs that grab the cojones, or the mozek. And they way he talks about music is innerestin – like Trey, always pushing the (personal) envelope for that 1% more.

Anyways, respect to that man!
